“Cornetto e Cappuccino” – The official guide to the True italian Breakfast

For most Italians, it is kind of a tragedy to find a real Italian breakfast in Berlin. Coffee is always burned and real “cornetti” are almost impossible to find. If you miss your espresso and brioche routine, we’re here to help you!

Caffè Monelli

In the chic Bezirk of Prenzlauer Berg, Caffè Monelli is the best Italian bar you can find. A cosy place, where you can relax and enjoy your espresso. Furthermore, there’s a little area for the kids, who are welcome to read books and play. It is open every day, but Tuesday, from 8 to 18 and 10-18.30 during the weekend.

Sironi Bakery

From the love of Alfredo for the bakery in 2013 borns Sironi, a place where expertise combines with excellent raw ingredients. The bakery has an open laboratory, so all the customers can see how bread and all the delicacies are made. For their products, they only use ingredients coming from small Italian realities. It is open Monday to Friday from 8 am until 8 pm, on Thursday from 8 am until 10 pm and on Saturday from 8 am until 7 pm.

Lekkamokka Espresso Bar und Eismanufaktur

At Lekkamokka you can enjoy a tasty Italian breakfast so as amazing ice cream, homemade cakes and cookies. And, of course, Affogato! The bar is open from Monday to Saturday, 12-18.

Safè – Espresso Bar Napoletano

Safè it’s a little nice spot in the heart of Friedrichshain, run by Sandro and Federico, whose name initials combined form the name of the local. They serve Neapolitan coffee since 2008. The coffee shop is open from Monday to Friday from 7 am until 7 pm, and during the weekend until 10 pm.

Sicula Bar

At Sicula Bar they describe themselves as “cannoli addicted”, so who are we to disagree? From breakfast to Aperitivo the Sicilian based culinary experience will leave you more than satisfied. They have cornetti, of course, but you can also try paste di mandorla, Rame di Napoli and Sbrisoline! Go try them from Tueasday to Sunday, 10-23.
